Gnathopalystes sp. "Slender Green"

Slender Green Huntsman

This species is recognised by the bright green colouration and distinct yellow eye tubercles in both sexes. The male has numerous purplish bands on the legs, chelicerae, carapace, and abdomen. The female resembles that of G. kochi but has a less convex carapace, relatively longer legs and a more slender and posteriorly tapering abdomen. The venter is green, without the red patch seen in G. kochi.

Length♀ 10–13 mm; ♂ 7–11 mm.
HabitatHerbage in open areas fringing forests, foliage in mangroves.
